Intro to CPS Training

Why: To gain better understanding of how the Child and Family Services Division of DPHHS operates and how law enforcement agencies can aid our partners in child and public safety.
Who: Open to any law enforcement agency or MDT member

Agenda

  • 10 -11 AM - Mandatory reporter training-laws, statutes, cross reporting
  • 11 - 11:15 AM - Break
  • 11:15 - 11:30 AM - Recent Legislative Updates-including HB181 pamphlets, EPS hearings
  • 11:30AM - 12 PM - Prevention Plans, Protection Plans, and Ongoing Case Management

Shaunda Hall has worked for the Child and Family Services Division of the Department of Public Health and Human Services for the past 11 years.  Ms. Hall began her career with CFSD as a Child Protection Specialist investigator in the Butte/Anaconda and surrounding areas. After one year of investigations, Ms. Hall was promoted to Child Protection Specialist Supervisor covering the same region and maintained that position for 8 years.  In October 2023, Ms. Hall took the position of Field Training Supervisor for Child and Family Services Division.  Ms. Hall provides all the training for new CPS workers four times per year as well as any other community and CFSD trainings requested.
