Treatment Court

The Gallatin County Treatment Court is a voluntary post-conviction adult treatment that provides an alternative to traditional sentencing where substance abuse is a motivating factor for the offender’s criminal behavior.
 
The 18-month Program’s goal is to offer participants tools to overcome addictions, modify behaviors, and lead productive, crime-free lives.
 
Program requirements include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Addictions counseling
  • Mental health therapy
  • Frequent drug and alcohol testing
  • Weekly reporting to a case manager
  • Attendance at support group meetings
  • Service to the community
  • Community referrals:
    • Job Service
    • Montana Department of Health & Human Services
    • Community Cafe
    • Housing services
    • Education services
    • Voc-Rehab services
    • VA services
    • Others as needed
