BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION:

Commissioner Don Seifert was born on a diversified small grains and livestock farm in Pondera County, Montana.  He was active in 4-H during his youth.  After graduating from Conrad High School he attended MSU majoring in Agriculture. In 1973 he started a livestock nutrition company, which he still owns today.  Over the years, that company has expanded to serve the western United States as well as the western provinces of Canada.  He has been active in the Montana Feed Association as an officer, including President, as well as serving on the Board of Directors for many years. He is also a member of the Ringling 5, a well-known musical group that has performed in many communities around the west as well as New York, New Jersey, and Florida.

Before being elected to the Commission, Don served Gallatin County on the Planning Board, Gravel Pit Task Force, Board of Adjustments, and Capital Improvements Program Committee.

Don and his wife Christin have one son.
