Commissioner Jennifer Boyer
Jennifer is from a small fruit-farming community in Western New York where she grew up helping her father in his veterinary clinic. She attended Cornell University and after college moved to Oregon to work and study watershed science and management. Her career has focused on facilitating consensus on water resources, community planning and public land management. She has worked with a variety of local governments, community organizations and nonprofits across Montana and the Northern Rockies for the past 25 years.
Jennifer lives with husband Chris and their teenage son on their goat farm along Rocky Creek east of Bozeman. Their farm has supplied local restaurants and butchers with grass-fed meat and stolen all their recreation time.
She has served on numerous boards and community initiatives including HRDC Streamline, Gallatin Watershed, CASA, Seat at the Table, Montana Freshwater Partners and with her husband, foster parent.
When her family can break away, they are outdoors camping, boating, fishing and exploring.
