Planning Board meets the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at 6 pm at the County Courthouse.
Planning and Zoning Commission meets the second Thursday of every month at 9 am at the County Courthouse.
The Board of Adjustment meets the third Tuesday of every month at 4 pm at the County Courthouse.
This is the language on the Zone Text Amendment (ZTA) proposed by the Hebgen Lake Zoning Advisory Committee to clarify and adjust various definitions and development standards within the Hebgen Lake Zoning Regulation. The Hebgen Lake Zoning Advisory Committee will hear this item on July 3, 2019 at 10:30am at the West Yellowstone Visitor Center/Chamber of Commerce Building, 30 Yellowstone Avenue, West Yellowstone, MT, and the Joint hearing before the Hebgen Lake Planning & Zoning Commission is on July 11, 2019 at 9am at the Gallatin County Courthouse, 311 West Main Street, Bozeman, MT. The proposed ZTA is available for public inspection at the Gallatin County Planning Department, 311 West Main Street Room 108, Bozeman; the Office of the Gallatin County Clerk & Recorder, 311 West Main Street Room 203, Bozeman. Testimony on the request will be taken at each hearing. Written testimony should be sent to the Gallatin County Planning Department, 311 W. Main, Room 108, Bozeman, MT 59715. Public hearings were held by the Gallatin County Planning Board on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at 6:00 p.m., and before the Gallatin County Commission at their regular meeting on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at 9:00 a.m. At the May 21st County Commission hearing a Resolution of Intent to Adopt was approved on a vote of 2:1. Notice of Resolution of Intent to Adopt protest period begins on May 27th and ends at 5pm June 25th.
The County Commission Resolution of Adoption hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at their regular scheduled meeting at 9:00 a.m. at the County Courthouse at 311 W. Main Street in the 3rd Floor Community Room.
The purpose of the public hearings was to consider an application submitted by Final Piece, LLC and Camino Liebre, LLC for a Zone Map Amendment (ZMA) request to change the zoning classification on approximately 15.72 acres of land from Rural Residential and Agricultural (RR/A) to Mixed Use (MU) within the Four Corners Zoning District.

The Subject Area to be rezoned is approximately 15.72 acres described as Tract 3 of Dependent Survey 8A, and a portion of Tract 2 of Dependent Survey 8A described in metes and bounds: Commencing at the southwest corner of Said Tract 2, and Point of Beginning; Thence N00*54’10”E along the west line of said Tract 2 a distance of 243.78 feet; Thence S88*15’56”E a distance of 618.03 feet; Thence along the east line of said Tract 2, S07*17’28”W a distance of 124.21 feet; Thence continuing along said east line, S09*02’34”W a distance of 114.08 feet; Thence along the south line of said Tract 2, N88*56’44”W a distance of 587.99 feet to the said southwest corner and True Point of Beginning. The Subject Area is located in the North One-Half (E1/2) of Section Twelve (S12) and the South One-Half (S1/2) of Section One (S1), Township Two South (T02S), Range Four East (R04E) P.M.M., Gallatin County, Montana.
