POTENTIAL CONTAMINANT SOURCE INVENTORY
This GIS (geographic information system) database was developed in 2001 and contains locations of potential contaminant sources to ground water and surface water within the boundaries of the GLWQD at that time.  It is a resource for public water supplies to access for the development of source water delineation and assessment reports.  This project was completed with a grant from the MT Department of Environmental Quality Source Water Protection Program.  For a copy of this database, please contact our office at (406) 582-3148 or 582-3145.

COLOR INFRARED (CIR) IMAGERY OF THE GALLATIN VALLEY
Individual 1:24,000 quadrangles composed of color-infrared aerial photos with 2-foot pixel GSD. These high-resolution CIR photos were taken on September 9, 2001.  Please contact our office at (406) 582-3148 or 582-3145 for more information, viewing or to obtain a DVD set of the images.

CIR imagery only (no shapefiles) of the entire project area can currently be viewed at the following locations:

USGS National Map homepage.  Click here to access the map viewer directly.  INSTRUCTIONS:  Once you have entered Map Viewer, click on "Find Place".  Then, under "Zoom to Partner Dataset" select "Montana - Bozeman/Gallatin".  Next, under the "Layers" heading on the right side of the screen select "orthoimagery".  From here, select "CIR Imagery (Gallatin Co MT)".  Finally, Click "Redraw Map" to view the CIR imagery.   Now you can use the tools in the tool menu to zoom in on your area of interest.

Description
Geology, soils and ground water data for the Gallatin Valley.
The central repository for information on the ground-water resources of Montana. The data include well-completion reports from drillers, measurements of well performance and water quality based on site visits, water-level measurements at various wells for periods of up to 60 years, and water-quality reports for thousands of samples.
STORET (short for STOrage and RETrieval) is a repository for raw biological, chemical, and physical data on surface and ground water collected by federal, state and local agencies, Indian Tribes, volunteer groups, academics, and others.
Provides access to several EPA databases containing information about environmental activities that may affect air, water, and land anywhere in the United States. With Envirofacts, you can learn more about these environmental activities in your area or you can generate maps of environmental information.

Access surface water, ground water and water quality data including real-time stream gage data for Montana's streams and rivers.
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's National Climatic Data Center. Access precipitation and temperature data for Montana and around the world.
This site conveys information about the quality of Montana's rivers, streams, lakes, and wetlands in relation to the Montana Water Quality Standards. Specifically, it displays the results of water quality assessments made on the basis of available water monitoring data. It is not intended to be a means of access to water quality monitoring field data. EnviroNet enables the user to perform custom data queries, to develop summary reports, and to generate maps.
A clearinghouse and referral service to link users to Interactive map and data applications for ground water, water quality, water rights, fisheries, wetland 404 permits, public water supplies and more.
Search for water rights information by area, water source/use, or priority date.
The U.S. EPA Safe Drinking Water Information System (SDWIS) contains information about public water systems and their violations of EPA's drinking water regulations, as reported to EPA by the states. These regulations establish maximum contaminant levels, treatment techniques, and monitoring and reporting requirements to ensure that water systems provide safe water to their customers. This query will help you to find your drinking water supplier and view its violations and enforcement history since 1993.
Here you can access the County GIS Interactive Mapper.
